Always wanted to explore the tea scene in Zurich, but didn’t know where to start? Our Zurich Tea Map highlights some of the best tea shops, tea houses, and specialty tea stores in Zurich.
You’ll find our favorite places for tea tasting, loose-leaf teas, matcha, and traditional tea culture, along with short descriptions to guide your visit. You may find this surprising, but Zurich is indeed a wonderful destination for tea lovers to experience the rich world of one of the most popular drinks in the world. Please keep in mind we have included places where we have been and tasted the tea, but if we missed something, let us know in the comments. We’d love to check out a new tea destination.
And if you’d like to taste, learn, and explore tea together with a guide, we’d love to host you on our Zurich Tea Tour.
A wonderful choice for Nepali teas, at Bridge, they can tell you when and where the leaves were picked. First flush, monsoon flush, and more, you can go deeper with their selection. Another reason we love going there is that we can combine it with breakfast, lunch, dinner, our working date session, or even the weekly shopping. Yey for taste and practicality in one.
Your visit to La Cucina will not only help you decide on your next favorite tea, but it will be an excellent opportunity to try out a new spice mix because tea is not the only thing they blend. Whether in Bern, Zurich, or online, they can help you try some fantastic classic teas, matcha, cold brews, matcha, chai, and more. We are still obsessing a sencha tea from the first flush we tried there recently, and our guests always leave munching on a snack with their awesome spices.
Our visits to London Tea are as friendly and kind as they are delicious and knowledge-enriching. 125 years of Tea tradition show in every corner. Their awesome selection of traditional teas, blends, fruit and herbal tea, matcha, cold brew teas, ice teas, mate, and more is tempting us to go home with a new tea box every time - no matter how little space we have left. Check them out in Zurich or in Basel, we guarantee limitless tea immersion.
Stylish and trendy, Paper & Tea makes tea an experience for the city dwellers in the know. In there, we tried the greenest of matchas and also were delighted to taste a full selection of chocolates they created with Original Beans (not available anymore, but I am still campaigning for this series revival). Their website features really creative and inspiring tea drink recipes like Hojicha Maple Latte and Coconut Matcha Cloud that will elevate your next cup. And in case you want to explore their rich offer, you can join them for a tea tasting.
A Zurich original, many go to Schwarzenbach to enrich their weekly shopping with some true delicacies. Among chocolate, coffee, spices, and more, they also have a variety of delicious teas. While you are doing the groceries next week, why not try one of their tasty Darjeelings or a fragrant jasmine tea, and if you feel like experimenting, you could check and see if their chocolate shop has a sweet with tea - maybe with genmaicha?
This is the place where you can explore traditional tea culture in Zurich. Rare oolongs check, actually calling red tea red check, proper classic tea equipment check. Shui Tang has it all. We recommend you visit this shop after you have deepened your tea knowledge so you can appreciate it to the fullest. Joining us on a tea tour is one way to do that ;)
For this one, we will enjoy a small change in scene and head to Winterthur, but we will stay within the realm of the Canton of Zurich. Combine a day trip to this beautiful town with a visit to the cosy Teekult Tea Room. The Tearoom-Café is open from the middle of October until the end of March, but you can purchase any of more than 200 teas all year round. If you are low on tea in your pantry (not that we are familiar with such a situation), you can use their online store to restock. They also have cool tea-related present ideas.
Entering Tee & Tee in the old town of Zurich automatically transports you to a world of delightful aromas and fun tea box browsing. They have an awesome selection of traditional teas, special signature blends, and bio teas, among others. We love the fact that you can create your own blend, and one tasty option we tried recently was mate with mango, a classic, especially in its cold version for Summer.

Zurich’s tea world is full of hidden gems, passionate tea experts, and incredible flavors - from classic Darjeelings to rare oolongs and modern matcha creations.
This map is a great way to start exploring on your own. But if you’d like to taste different teas, learn about tea culture, and discover some of these places together, you can also join us on the Zurich Tea Tour, where we explore Zurich one cup at a time.
Until then: happy tea hunting in Zurich.
Did we miss your favorite tea brand or shop? Tell us in the comments, and we will consider adding it to the map if we also love it!
